We work with a team of highly motivated, enthusiastic and above all professional people. We are especially proud of our chief cook, Raymond Lepoutre. The always passionate and inspirational chef knows his immense passion for the profession really the most culinary dishes for you to put down, made from fresh ingredients. Raymond was sous chef for years in the restaurant Beukenhorst, where he and fellow chef Toine Smulders held sway. His passion has been an inspiration to our strong team that constantly inspire each other and keep sharp. And the taste is reflected in our cuisine.
Unbridled passion for the job
If one word could sum up what Raymond moves, then it is his unbridled passion for the job. Raymond "romps" with ingredients from various cuisines and cultures. Common thread is that all products are fresh and prepared in your own kitchen. That means that every day comes fresh from the baker, the butcher and the grocer, as much as possible from the environment. The beauty is that it always worked with true seasonal products. Because it tastes best, and then in the fun, the menu changes seasonally so. Our regular guests as always enjoy new exciting dishes.
The atmosphere in our restaurant is best described as cozy, intimate and casual. We will not unnecessarily 'interfere' with an ever-changing ministry, but the personal attention you expect and that you are comfortable. Our team is ready to convince you!
History
Nice to know that the history of The Night Watch back to 1648. The part that is now the restaurant, was once the residence of the family Grimmelt. In 1989 the then owner restaurant The Night Watch, currently held by the family Theissen. Immediately catches the eye of the very beautiful facade of the restaurant, which is the historic ambience of yesteryear exudes. Once inside the restaurant still exudes that relaxed, warm and welcoming atmosphere, but translated into a refreshing and contemporary interior. The restaurant is deliberately kept small and intimate, every guest feel welcome and best attention to give. It is this limited capacity, we recommend you to have a reservation.
